hi all,
just a quick question, its' urgent !
i maybe missed it in the documentation but ...
does DSMCAD handles "TDP Scheduler Service for Exchange" also ?

Hi,
If I can add my little bit.
The TSM support guys from IBM talk us out of it. Support/Managing it is

Hi
The scheduler service is a BA client function, so are the Dsmcad. It
should not be a problem to
start a CAD service that is associated with a TDP agent schedule or/and
a regular BA client schedule.

Dsmc sched can be used for the scheduling service of the backup job for
the Exchange TDP. You can not set up dsmcad to restore or backup an
Exchange client. That is only for launching the web based gui for BA
backup and archive functions.
Goran what are you trying to do or what is not working ?
I know that you can use the managedservices option in the opt file and
specify:
managedservices schedule webclient
Meaning the CAD manages the client and the scheduler.

I was mistaken in my previous answer. Yes you can manage the tdp
scheduler service. Typically you create a different node name for each
schedule type. For instance "servername" for the BA backups and

Yes, this should be done using the dsmcutil pointing each service to the

You should use a unique nodename for your exchange TSM instance.
Kick off the tdpexc gui select the restore tab. You should be prompted

To set up a properly scheduled exchange backup job you must first create

You can either create another cad service using the nodename you gave
for the tdp nodename or create the scheduling service for it. Create a
dsm_tdp.opt file in ba client dir. This should be identical to the
dsm.opt you have except the nodename will be your tdp nodename.

you can start the tsm backup archive client GUI from the nt machine. It
will prompt you for a password. Once you enter the password it will be
stored in the registry. Then you can restart your tsm services and it
should pick up the password from the registry.

I was so bored with this "piece of c..p" (sorry for those my language

I'll NEVER use ISC/AC untill IBM will have it completely revamped ...

It would be helpful in such postings if you would provide the full

not knowing the context of the Flush operation you found.
We often get postings where the term "server" is unspecific, and may

Our Solaris systems that run Domino have multiple NICs on a private

How do you folks out there handle the fact that in the spring forward, there is

Being in Indiana, we are now dealing with this for the first time in around 40

Thanks for any suggestions.

Where simplistic time-based scheduling prevails (the traditional Unix

I had some problems with the setup of the Admin Console. I placed a call with
IBM, and solved it and called back to cancel the ticket. An IBM support tech
