Do you have the opportunity to use a scheduler that can track resource use? We use a set of ^M scheduled jobs using a resource count and pool. ^M will feed in stgpool backup jobs according to how many drives they will want and how many are free. It's the best way so far we have found of maximizing

Does the service run as the system account? If so make sure that it has access to the drive at the root. If the service account running the TSM scheduler service does not have access to the root of the drive it will not be added to the domain list and you will not get any errors.
