Hello all,
Does anyone know how I would check to on a node's
backup results (completion/missed/failure) say for the
past 10 day's using the ISC/Admin Center as we could
do using the old 5.2 Gui admin?
Thanks in advance for any replies!

Try blowing out the drive descriptions:
exclude c:\...\*.ds
exclude d:\..
Hi,
Please include full include/exclude list (from opt file and client option
set)
I'm not sure that you can use [a-z] for drive letter
try * instead (if it possible).

I hope these aren't "naive" questions.
1 - How do I know if there are any tapes at the offsite storage that should
be
onsite and be available for scratch?
This includes DB backups and normal backups.
2 - How would I tell if TSM is actually processing tapes correctly?
(e.g.) From vault --

The only way to do this is to periodically create a volume list by
running

We are looking at moving our TSM infrastructure from zOS to a distributed
platform. I would like any positive or negative feedback on TSM running on a
Sun/Solaris environment. Primarily I would like feedback from large TSM users,
over 500 TB of TSM data, nightly backups over 5 TB, 2000 clients
I would say respond to the list, I bet there are a bunch of users
intersted in this, ofcourse I can be wrong

Does anyone use AsyncIO on AIX with TSM? Any performance boost/slowdown
over not enabling AsyncIO (AIO) and just using DirectIO?
We just implemented TSM 5.2.3 on AIX v5.3 using AsyncIO, and I'm not sure
what it uses AsyncIO for (just the database, or does that include the
dispool?), I've noticed
I am interested in this. I am planning to migrate my TSM Server on
HP-UX to AIX. Other than export/import, do I have other better choice?
During the migration, I only have 1 tape library. BTW, TSM Server is
5.2.2.
TIA

I always say, "The only naïve/stupid/dumb question you have is the one you
don't ask."
1.) Previously answered by Mr. Stapleton
2.) There are ways to manually audit (and I have done this) the various entries
for TSM Tapes. Tapes are either in the DRMEDIA inventory and offsite, onsite
and used
