hi all, can someone point me to IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for AIX Storage Agent User's Guide i simply cannot find it , is it a redbook ? it's pretty urgent i have to show something by the end of the day THANKS !!! goc

How would I check on a nodes backup results

Hello all, Does anyone know how I would check to on a node's backup results (completion/missed/failure) say for the past 10 day's using the ISC/Admin Center as we could do using the old 5.2 Gui admin? Thanks in advance for any replies! TSM version 5.3.1

Scratch tape questions

I hope these aren't "naive" questions. 1 - How do I know if there are any tapes at the offsite storage that should be onsite and be available for scratch? This includes DB backups and normal backups. 2 - How would I tell if TSM is actually processing tapes correctly? (e.g.) From vault --

Feedback on TSM running on Sun/Solaris

We are looking at moving our TSM infrastructure from zOS to a distributed platform. I would like any positive or negative feedback on TSM running on a Sun/Solaris environment. Primarily I would like feedback from large TSM users, over 500 TB of TSM data, nightly backups over 5 TB, 2000 clients

AsyncIO on AIX for TSM?

Does anyone use AsyncIO on AIX with TSM? Any performance boost/slowdown over not enabling AsyncIO (AIO) and just using DirectIO? We just implemented TSM 5.2.3 on AIX v5.3 using AsyncIO, and I'm not sure what it uses AsyncIO for (just the database, or does that include the dispool?), I've noticed
