hi all,
we have a tsm server 5.1 under AIX 5.1
and a client tsm 5.1 under AIX 4.3.3
i make a backup of all this tsm client under user root.
i want to let a user "Backup" (which is under client node) to do a restore
of some filesystems wich are backed up with user root.
how can i do that?

for this newyear i'm upgrading my old server ADSM 3.0
to TSM 4.3 or it may be TSM 5.2
is it possible to upgrade my ADSM 3.0 to TSM 4.2
without affecting DB
Any idea about the DB backup..can i able to restore my
old DB in upgrade one...if i do fresh installation of
TSM.

Hay,
If you want to install TSM 5.2 you should have AIX 5.2 or you have to
install patches with AIX 4.3 to support TSM 5.2.
AIX 4.3 is out of support from IBM form 1/1/2005 and in AIX 5.2 you need to
upgrade db of any old version to work with TSM 5.2.

Kindly enlighten me on !!
Why would tapes that have few percent of data of total space turn out to be
full. I have 15 tapes withthe status of Full while their Pct Util is not even
close to Reclaimation threhold. Some are 2%,5%, some 70% some 90% etc.
