Yes, this is true. IBMs take on this is that it is up to the customer to make the library "master" server highly available. So cluster the TSM server. If you've got fibre attached disks for your TSM DB, Log and disk pools, then include both of your 630's in the same zone as the TSM disks so that yo

Hi Braulio, You don't need all that lb.conf stuff. You'll need the IBM Tape Driver supplied at: ftp://service.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/RHEL3/. This will supply you with the necessary drivers for the Drives and the Changer (/dev/IBMtapex and /dev/IBMchangerx). Beware the drivers are

Hi, I have had issues with Fibre disks when they were cut into huge raw lv's like this. I am no expert, but I think there is something weird about TSM's handling of large raw lv's that introduces a serialized step (not sure exactly, but it seemed to really bottleneck after I added two large lv's.
