Hi all,
Our DR Project Leader has decided to carry out the following exercise one

Switch from our Domino Production Server(S2321) to the DR Server(S2401)
and run for
several days, before switching back.
At the moment the DR server is the "Alternate Restore Server " for TDP

Hello All,
I am new to both the list and to Oracle/TSM solutions. All the basic
components of the TSM Oracle and RMAN have been installed and appear to
be OK, but I'm having problems locating the libobk.a file. The only
thing I can find is libobk.so Is this the file I need? Anyone out

Just upgraded my AIX server from 5.2.1.3 to 5.2.3.2.
Now I am seeing these error messages from various clients

I searched IBM.COM and found

But when I look in my nodes table, I see I have 90 client nodes registered.
Why the discrepancy?

We upgraded from 5.2.2 to 5.2.3.0 to (among other
things) try and fix this problem. No luck. I've also
tried the txnbytelimit fix on the client, and again,
no luck.
If you find any other "solutions" I would be most
interested in them.
Thanks,
T.

Ok I fix the problem but here is another question what should I put in my
dsm.opt file to include a directory and information store of my exchange
server. The tree looks like this in the gui:

Geoff - I think, more accurately, that the packet is coming from the
TSM server system.
I recall this coming up in past List discussions. It may well be Path
MTU Discovery from your AIX OS. Search ADSM QuickFacts for that
moniker for basic info, then see if your AIX system is set to do that.

Hi,
We are currently using TSM, TDP for Oracle, and RMAN to backup our SAP
databases, Oracle 8.1.7.4 and 9.2.0.5. Several years ago I used the
backint interface with brbackup, and I would like to reevaluate it in the
current environment.
Has Backint been replaced by or integrated into TSM for E
Hi,
I would like to crash the server (OS and data)
The problem I have is that If a server crash ... the only way to put it
back up is to change disk ... re-install windows .. install TSM client ...
restore windows and files by overwriting all files...
It a long process...
I heard of the bare metal
Jason,
You don't need to put anything in the DSM.OPT file.
By default, Data Protection for Exchange will back up the
Information Store and Directory under Exchange Server 5.5.
If you want to bind those objects to a special managament
class, then you should add something like this:

Concerning BMR:
There's a way to do it by means of BartPE bootable CD (from NU2 on the web).
This gives you a Windows pre-boot environment.
Get the network running and start the BAclient from a networkshare (if you
throw the \system32 dll's in the \baclient directory it will run; and this

Hi.
What you need to know if you are going to test a Disaster Recovery.
Re-installation:
If you going to re-installation the OS you need to know on which Service Pack and hot

Because you need to install everything in
