Are any of you who are using HP-Openview to monitor your TSM instances doing anything
other than SNMP as the integration method?
I'm looking at using the TSM Userexit instead as I want to post process messages for
auditing anyway.
Any insights are gratefully received.

Has anyone got any idea whether it is possible to
execute dsmadmc with non-root id?
Operators can use web-admin and access using specific
web-admin id. What if the web is 'down' and only
access is telnet? Operator has to telnet but uses
'root' id and then dsmadmc to access the tsm server

Sure, no problem.
You only need root privileges to start TSM and possibly for a few things
like creating/defining db/log volumes? (May not even need ro
