If you are even slightly able to "roll your own" then seriously consider
a general-purpose statistical tool such as SPSS or SAS for this purpose.
Especially since you may already be licensed for one of them.
Nevertheless, Servergraph has an impressively deep list of features,
invented just for WDS

02-16. Whatever happened to Richard Sims?
AFAIK Richard is unable to *receive* messages from the list. Thus he is
neither able to answer in real-time nor to know is the question already
answered. If he was able to get the list messages through it would be able
at least to answer in private :-(

Use separate node names for each backup - one directed to primary pool +
backup to copypool, the other going to primary pool w/o backup.

Hi,

Ron,
We're doing daily reclamation with 2 copy pools (~30% full per day). We have the
following settings:
LTO pool (on site data) 55%
Copy pool A 70%
Copy pool B 80%
The big gotchas with Win2k are:
1) correct device drivers (this can really slow you down)
2) There is a bug (apar 34
Good point Dave, Depending on the amount of data you are moving it could easily take
5+ hours. We have an 8 hour reclamation window that seems to work fine.

Where do I go for TSM updates? I had an FTP sight but lost the link
(and the feeling I get is that it changes pretty often).
I have a TSM 5.1 server running and I am going through updates now,
except I can't get any updates. I tried "registering" on IBM's support
sight, that was a joke.

He got older, but otherwise nothing much else. :-)
I got effectively knocked off the ADSM-L mailing list about 13 months ago as
mail incoming from Marist sputtered then ceased. Thereafter, no email commands
to their Listserv resulted in a response. W
You mean a host database and not the TSM server database correct?

Try it from home tonight. (I do that a lot!). It maybe your ISP
or your various firewal/proxyl etc. protection. We have had both
here.
I have problems getting to IBM sites and/or doing "work" there,
but I can do "everything" at home with Road Runner connection.

I read Andy's post about mirroring and I agree. But I have an AIX group
that will not allow the TSM group to use ADSM mirroring because they say
the OS mirror is adequate. I didn't even think to argue the point about the
TSM database has to write successfully before it writes to the mirrors,

Does anyone know when IBM/Tivoli will provide a TDP for Websphere

Henrry,
You do not need BRMS to run DP for Domino on OS/400.
That is why it is not listed as a requirement!

Dear All,
I'm backing up using TDP for R/3 3.2.0.12 over the SAN (to 3 tape drives)
using Storage Agent 4.2.3 (AIX) to TSM server 4.2.3 on AIX.
The backup works fine BUT I see repeated occurrences (anywhere between 3
and 9) of the following 2 messages.
ANR3605E Unable to communicate with storage
