It depends on the SLA for the data. Few examples:
- a database with weekly backup and daily/hourly log backup. Loss of
single log file causes hole in log chain and your vulnerability window
became one week long.

I think it ought to be better if 3494 is primary and 3584 is for copy.
Even with 3590B drives 3494 ought to be faster for many types of loads.
