Is OS/2 a supported TSM client? I can't find info on
the web site to say that, but have found several old
posts in the ADSM-L archives to suggest that it may
be.

I thought I saw a thread not too long ago about a problem with DBBackups
running longer if you had DBCOPY volumes...? I was trying to search for the
thread, but didn't see anything... Should looked at Tivoli knowledge base
first...here's the APAR IC34146 (amongst others):

I have several customers running this type of configuration. It's not
really an issue. I would recommend using the latest revision of the
client though that supports that specific OS version.

We would like to use our help desk to handle restore request. To accomplish this we

Would it be possible to manually copy the 'missing' log files back to the

Depending on your version, in DSMC, you can try to use the QUERY INCLEXCL
command to display what TSM _THINKS_ your exclude statement says. That'll
give you a real good idea what the problem is. It's resolved a few
include/exclude problems for me.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I've been designated the TSM administrator here at my workplace, and I'm
trying to educate myself as I go without making a mess of things. Our IBM
partner came in and installed the server and a few clients, and handed it
over to me. I now have about 200 Win2K clients, 40 AIX Clients, and abo
Hello,
I'm running some clients at 3.7 with a TSM Server at 4.2.2.3 . I have
not run across any issues. You just have to make sure you point the clients
opt. file to the new servers address or name. Tivoli has a on a web site
that list the Server version to clients version. Sorry I can't rec

Does anybody have any evidence/research as to what kind of additional

I applied 4.2.3.0 to a netstor box this morning, and two expire inventory

All,
Does TSM write to SMF records during startup on OS/390? If so, which
SMF records does it right to?

Arnaud,
TSM comes with a rich set of SQL functions. Get a hold of Andy Raibeck's "Using the

I thought it only wrote SMF records (type 41) for session accounting, that
is, at end-of-node-session.
We have some JCL that should work, perhaps with some tweaking, to get you
those records.
If you DO get some SMF output, would you please send me a few hundred
records of it, so that we can test o
