I have an environment where i am running TDP for Oracle V2.2 on Solaris 7. My TSM
server version is 4.2.1.11 and is running on an AIX 4.3.3 server.
My output of "tdpoconf showenvironment" command on the solaris box is shown below.

You cannot do outer joins simply because AFAIK they're not implemented.
The reason for the latter is of the same complexity - they're not needed.

Similar to what I try to explain to customers:
TSM does only incrementals but at the server they are transpatently
merged. So you (I mean the customer) get restore from full backup. This is
the best - quick backups and quick restores, no incrementals to apply, no
full backups to transfer.
