Hi !
Your 80GB is compressed capacity. DLT-8000 offers 40GB plus compression. But
the drive will not be able to compress data that are already compressed.
So if you are using client compresssion on your TSM nodes, 43GB is not that
bad.

Bob, when you schedule the backup on the TSM server what action are you

I think the main thing is that the schedule you have set up for the TDP SQL

For TDP backups ACTION should be COMMAND and in the OBJECTS
parameter shoukld be something like "C:\Progra~1\Tivoli\TSM\TDPSql\sqlfull.cmd"

Why don't you do a command line call from the tsm scheduler and only have the one file
to back up from the command line. I use this and it works fine.
Here is "hrarchive.cmd" located on the server. I call this using TSM command
scheduler:
set path=%path%;c:\progra~1\tivoli\tsm\baclient
set
The problem is that TSM is still backing up all the data on the client. As I
understand we shold be able to exclude everything but one file. This is what
we are trying to do.

OK, thanks. It helps to know the context of the question. :-)
The EXCLUDE statement (without and . extension) excludes only files, not
