unfortunately absent from the *SM documentation. Doing an APAR
search on "3995" turned up IX79416, which specifies element numbers and
SCSI IDs, which may be of some value in your struggle with configuration.

Recently we upgraded a server to Win2k. The TSM client software I installed
was the newest. The backup last night has reported as failed as you can see
from the server activity log, and the rest of the logs. I'm not sure I
understand what the error messages below mean:

We are running 3590E1A tape drives with a microcode level of D22E. We have
been on this level of code for quite some time with no errors. Our 3590's
are also house within a 3494.

and not also modded the binary to use 8 segments instead of 6. The

that commtimeout has on sessions is that idle sessions stay longer before

number of CPU's and amount of memory ( 2 G ). The
big difference being MCA vs. PCI. We are on TSM 3.7.4

model drives. UDB backup is invoked using DB2 utilities which transfer the
