total 90 GB) on Magstar in an IBM 3494 library. The backup copy group for
the specific managment class is defined as " 1 1 0 NOLIMIT".

work for us. First, the local fix using the unlodctr doesn't work because it
is not called "TSM Client Performance", but "ADSM Client P
The new windows installer service that goes in with the new client is
responsible for at least one of the reboots. Someone one the list said
awhile back that if IE5.5 exists on the client already then a reeboot will
not be necessary. I tried this one one client and it worked without a
reeboot.
The logs are not picked up by the backup. The method of handling the logs, is
to compile C language the user exit program provided by DB2 to archive (not
backup) the log files.

Backup your registry just to be safe. Then search it for dsmcperf.dll .

One nice thing about archiving with TSM is that the TSM server makes it very
easy to rotate your media, make extra copies for vault storage (copy pools),
or just move the data to new media at any point. So you can easily avoid
the probems associated with aging/obs
