I have just had an upgrade to the XL tapes and am still getting tape
capacities reported (estimated) at 5GB still, is this correct or is there a
setting to change on the ADSM system? (I am running on NT and ADSM 3.1.2.50,
soon to upgraded)

When all my devices are in use and the next server trying to use one device

The driver may be downloaded from Tivoli web page selecting client version
4.1 for your platform. You have to download the entire client software and
then select ODBC installation which is now installed independently from the
client software. Attached is the link.

I have noticed that my SQL 'Current Timestamp' is set to '29-09-2000' even
though todays date is '29-08'2000'. Has anybody seen this before and do they
know what needs to be done to fix it. Is this a know problem? Where does it pick
the 'Current Timestamp' up from?
We are running
Reinstall the TSM client but only select the ODBC for installation. This
upgraded my ODBC to the correct level. Apparently some bug in the install.

We want to test a Lan-free restore and had a problem to restore a backupset,
here is the situation:
HW: RS6000 43P
SW: AIX 4.3.3
TSM server: TSM for AIX 3.7.3.6
TSM client: TSM for AIX 3.7.2.15
Tape drive: HP DLT40e, IBM DLT, 4MM tape ( all manual drives)
We created a backupset and we c
u r not using mtlib for sure.
do the new scratch tape checkin and db backup.
then use dsmlabel to deal with the scratch tape that is not accessible.

renders the need for dirmc obsolete. We are in the process of
decommissioning our directory diskpool/tapepools since the pools containing
