DIRMC question

TSM 3.7.0 Install

Gerard, this could be APAR IX89878. If so, it is fixed by various AIX OS upgrades. Check the levels of these components - if you still have the problem then support should be able to help you. bos.mp to 4.3.3.2 (or whatever is the latest) bos.sysmgt.serv_aid to 4.3.3.1

RAID5 or JBOD: Which Performs Batter in the *SM Environment?

We are looking to upgrade our SSA storage on our H50. Our current configuration is 16 x 9GB drives. One the upgrade path is to 16 x 18GB RAID5. How will this help or hurt our *SM performance? Any suggestions on setting up the filesystems, i.e., a few large ones or several small ones? Thanks,
