Is there some recommendations ... best practice ... or some of you can
give me a hint of what they are doing ...

execute q po and q mgmt. Depending upon what mgmt
class you're using for certain data it could be
different. Which you can find out how mnay versions
are associated with each mgmt class via q po and their
retentions.
