I have been testing disaster recovery procedures for our TSM 6.2.5.0

commands with 'restore db' always end with exit status 0, even when there
are errors that prevent a successful database restore, such as inability

Does anyone have any other ideas how to restore on a dedicated server instance?

Hi,
We have problems to restore a database with a 3494 library
devconfig file using the DEFINE DEVCLASS, DEFINE
LIBRARY and DEFINE DRIVE commands listed above.
2. Attempt a database restore using the 3590CLASS device
class (i.e. dsmserv restore db devclass=3590CLASS)

This problem has been seen on AIX and Solaris with the TSM 3.7.x
and 4.1.x
We are running 4.2.1.9. For 3494 libraries it is
necessary to define a manual library.
Best regards,

We can restore the server by server to server communication and we don't
have a
problem to access the library from the restored server. Is the dsmserv

Are sure the DBBACKUP is on a single tape, that it is not a multi-volume?
Are you positive your DB Backups have been running correctly?
