Ok, this sounds good but after that they will still be references to the VTS
tapes that are new. I can not delete all STGNEW references in the VOLHIST
because this will destroy almost everything. So this command only helps me for a
small part.
Any other thoughts?

remarked that no VTS was used querying the BACKUPS table but querying the
VOLHIST table did show som

Analysing the number of VTS tapes used to backup the servers of my client I
remarked that no VTS was used querying the BACKUPS table but querying the
VOLHIST table did show some old tapes. Executing a DEL VOLHIST type=STGD will
delete all the delete references
