Check tapes into library as private. Then upd vol blah
access=readonly. Reverse procedure to take back out.
(Upd vol will be changed back to "offsite".

checkin libvol with status=private
There is a nice set of instructions in the TSM
Administrator's Guide called "Recovering a Lost or
Damaged Storage Pool Volume". It details pretty much
everything you need to do.
