Hi Joni,
I'm currently planning a new environment - pilot in a month - and am going to
do a snapshot twice daily but with only 1 day retention and twice daily
incrementals across the wire to an offsite server, with a weekly full on Sunday
morning. Retention is 4 days, but even if they were all
I actually do the opposite - I send snapshots offsite and leave DBBs
onsite - the reason being that you can roll forward recovery logs on a dbb
but not on a dbs - if you lose your db due to non-disaster reasons, it is
quite possible that you may still have the recovery logs and can roll
forward.
