TSM Manager is pretty light weight. Most of its actual load will be
incurred on the TSM server as queries are made. I'd think a $250 CompUSA
special would do the trick nicely.
Admin Center's biggest issue is that it runs on the Integrated Service
Console, which is a WebSphere implementation. W
Doesn't take much.
I originally ran it on a 1.4Ghz desktop Dell with 512MB on W2K. But, when
I saw the requirements for the ISC, I asked tor a rack-mounted server with
2GB of RAM and 2.8Ghz processors. Should have been more than enough to
handle both at the same time.
I just checked and my TSMMa
My desktop, which I use for other things besides TsmManager is
2.4 GHz, 512Mb ram
It just does a series of queries that it formats and displays.

work under a confidentiality agreement, so detailed comparisons
might not be available. But to us, the two products look pretty similar.

Hi,
Using TSMManager and saw some output from TSM Operational Reporting. Not too
sure if TSM Operational Reporting will replace TSMManager. Have to do some
testing when it is released.

It collects data from the TSM Server and stores it for trend analysis. But the menu
items just perform a query on the data base and then makes the data pretty.
