I have implemented TSM as a cloud offering for several service
providers. It has a very stable API, good access controls and is
flexible concerning most everything so it really is "as cloud as it
gets".
Just compare the inhouse price and service to their offering.

We had a couple "CLOUD" vendors in here pitching the same thing.
I think the real question is "Is it cost effective?".
Based on the cost per GB per month and other compliance requirements we have
that increase the "per month" cost, we found that our in house TSM solution is
more cost ef
cloud? I'm not buzz-word compatible, but it seems that TSM as a service is as
cloud as it gets. Go back to what IM actually provides, at a technology level,
and compare that to your service.
