Omniback is to TSM, what MS-Access is to Oracle...
You can not compare two solutions that are not in the same category

I do quite a lot of work with OmniBack (OBII).
Basically, it is like most of the other backup products out there, in
that everything is based on full/incremental type architecture (what I
refer to as the "ArcServe mentality").

OmniBack is only big on the HP 9000 platform. It's not as widely used
as TSM or as cross-platform. Tape rotation is a problem as well. Take
a look at the list archives at www.adsm.org and search for OmniBack.
