Hi
ervername"_exch for the exchange backups. You would need to create a
separate dsmcad service to manage each one of the schedulers.

Hi
The scheduler service is a BA client function, so are the Dsmcad. It
should not be a problem to
start a CAD service that is associated with a TDP agent schedule or/and
a regular BA client schedule.

Duane,
I don't understand your reference to not getting accurate schedule based
success or failure messages - we use the batch method, and as long as
the errorlevel from the command line backup is captured and used as the
exit code, you should see accurate returncode results.

Goran,
There are many ways to perform it. I use a cmd file that is launched by
TSM schedule and TSM scheduler service. The only issue is you don't get
accurate schedule based success or failure messages.
I know some others use windows scheduler to perform the task via a cmd
file or bat file. There
Hi,
I think you need to run the agent with a user that has the appropriate
rights needed for backup. I read something about this on the list.
I ran in the same problem, but up to now I didn't have the time to check
if this really was the problem.

Hi Goran,
Hmn, from your dsm.opt file, looks like
you're running in a cluster... are you running the TDP with /EXCSERVER= ? Check out this link for more details about running
in an MSCS:
