IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail supports automated
Individual Mailbox Restore starting with
Data Protection for Exchange version 6.1.
For example, the command to restore a
mailbox could look like this:
TDPEXCC RESTOREMAILBOX hoobler
The technique that Data Protection for Exchange uses to
p
TDP for Exchange version 6.1 should be able to restore only selected
items from a full mailstore backup into your RSG. But, I wouldn't be
surprised if it had to retrieve all data from the TSM server in order
to be able to leave out the undesired data. It's not the TSM server
that does the filterin
TDP for Exchange is performing backup/restore for storage groups or databases.
To restore mailbox or individual message you have to use restore database to
recovery storage group and then use Exchange to move mailbox from RSG to
original database.
I think this is definitely supported by TDPE 5.5
What version of TDP and TSM server are you using?
You should be able to do a mail box restore with the 5.5 TDP and TSM server 5.5
