The cluster off switch tells the TSAs that your backup software is not cluster-aware.
That is, it isn't cluster-aware in terms of using NetWare's TSA calls to back up the
cluster. Without the /cluster=off switch, querying the server via the TSA will return

Novell's TID 10065605 and patch NW6SMS1A.EXE are needed. In particular,

The solution for our problem was to load an additional instance of DSMCAD
using the cluster resource DSM.OPT file.
Ie. We use DSMCAD to backup SYS: and NDS. It's DSM.OPT file is located
on volume SYS:
DSMC is being used to back up the cluster volumes. It's DSM.OPT is on
volume APPS. We had to

If this netware client was defined a very long time ago, it may not have an
administrative client defined for it which is required for web
interface. Administrative clients are now automatically created when the
node is defined but that wasn't always the case.
