Hi Andrew I have previously logged a PMR for this as we are seeing the dsmcsvc process not releasing all the memory it uses during the backup, each day the amount of memory the dsmcsvc process uses increases by 20 - 50MB. This can increase until the dsmcsvc.exe process is consuming over 1GB (id

Hi Zoltan, Are you finding that the dsmcsvc.exe memory usage is spiking during TSM operations? Or are you saying that after each successive operation, when the service is idle, you see the amount of used memory creeping up on a daily basis? If the service starts an operation, spikes memory, then

It is in part a cop-out. Windows may not always reclaim memory from a service when it shrinks its memory. Also a service simply may not shrink its memory. I do not know which is the case here. We have always used the CAD to stop and start the scheduler as needed to avoid this problem. The CA

Zoltan It is a cop-out. Whilst not a direct fix for your issue, I'd look at using CAD. It works very well for me. Steven Zoltan Forray/AC/VCU Sent by: "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" 03/01/2011 21:10 Please respond to "ADSM: Dist Stor Manager" To ADSM-L@VM.MARIST.EDU cc Subject [ADSM-L] Mem
