Andrew, Just a couple of things for you to think about. Since LTO3 drives can read LTO1 tapes I don't see any reason not to switch all drives over to LTO3 all at once. I don't believe there is any need to create new device class or storage pools if you don't want to. Obviously you will be dele

Since LTO3 can read LTO1 media, why not just: - In TSM, delete all your drives and paths - Remove them from your OS - Remove LTO-1 drives and replace with LTO-2 drives - Allow your OS to recognize the new drives - define the drives and paths to TSM - Mark all your LTO-1 tapes as READONLY and just
