The object count is from a count of node objects. I just ran the one audit so
I am not sure what effect any changes would have. Here is the last line from
the audit.

blocks in bit vectors. Elapsed time is 142:59:3
By "objects" do you mean what AUDITDB calls "entries in database tables". And
do the number of "blocks in bit vectors" have any effect on elapsed time?

Audit DB is a single threaded slow operation and there are no tricks
besides auditing parts of the DB like ex. Storage. Look at R Sims
Quickfacrs and search for "partial audits".
