Actually you will need IBMtape driver 4.0.4.7 for Sun Solaris systems.
Also make sure that you move your /kernel/drv/st.conf file (like to
st.conf.orig) because the Solaris scsi tape drivers will attempt to
attach to the devices first. The config file for IBMtape will be at
/usr/kernel/IBMtape.

You most likly need to install the Device Drivers found on
FTP://serviec.boulder.ibm.com/storage/devdrv/solaris
