John, I do something close to this with exports. I run exports to a special sms defined pool of volumes; HSM migrates this pool every hour. I can run any number of exports to devt=file without running out of space. Imports work fine once I recall the files. I rename each file so that a del volh

I have a limited amount of disk available for file device backupsets. My question is have any of you OS390 TSM users out there tried DFDSS dumping them to tape to free up the disks. If so are they still usable after being DFDSS restored to disk. Yes if I had more tape drives, I would generate the
