Ditto. TSm development isn't what it used to be.

Setting the library path offline and online didn't help. Deleting
and recreating the library path also didn't help. At that point I
x27;define drive' commands on the library manager,
but
every attempt to define a path from the library manager to one of the
drives has failed with a message like:

We have checked the command syntax carefully, and we hav

were able to execute 'define drive' commands on the library manager, but
every attempt to define a path from the library manager to one of the
drives has failed with a message like:

You probably have path definition problems.
See the description of that msg in ADSM QuickFacts.
The attached ma
Only the one drive "3590_p6" matched completely and the
remaining ones had odd WWN's.

Hi,
It seems like you forgot to define the path from the
server to the tape drive, and the 2nd line doesn't
quite look right to me. It should look like this:
define drive manlib IBMDRV
then define the
=/dev/st0
That should do it.

Hi,
I am trying to define a drive in TSM level but getting the (ANR8420E)
above-mentioned error.
At OS level the tape drive has been defined in /dev directory as st0
(Seagate DAT 20/40, internal drive 4MM with IBM stamp, 9SP40-000). The
working of DAT drive has been checked at OS level with the
device. For
example you do not have /dev/mt0.1, /dev/mt0.2, etc. TSM uses all this
functionality through /dev/mt0.
