What happened to the move Nodedata function? We're running on z/OS 1.2 TSM
server at 5.1.6.4. I read that there would be a move nodedata funtion
startingat V5.1.5.
When is TSM 5.2 going to be released?
Is there anyone(else) out there relying only on RAID for TSM fault
tolerance? I just attended the Advanced TSM class and learned that RAID is
not sufficient. Database and log mirror copy volumes are needed for the
most effective TSM fault tolerance.
By the way. We're not using copy pools either

I am seeking information on the use of 3rd party schedulers to schedule TSM
backups. My company is pushing the use of Control-M to take the place of
the TSM scheduler. We tried once and the experience was not good so we
switched back to using the TSM scheduler. There is still pressure, however,
I have DR situation. We have a TSM 4.1.1.0 server running on an AIX 4.3
server. We also have several mainframe based TSM servers at 4.2.2.12.
The AIX TSM server has no Disaster Recovery tapes going offset and I'm
trying to find a reasonable solution. I remembered reading that I could

I'm hearing that 20GB is the optimal size for a TSM database. I've also
heard that 40GB is the optimal size. Is either number correct? What is
the correct optimal TSM database size? The TSM servers, with the
exception of one, are running at fix test 4.2.2.12 on z/OS 1.2.
We are moving client s
I hope someone out there can help.
All our TSM servers run on OS390 or z/OS, except for one UNIX based TSM.
This UNIX server is not setup for offsite storage. I think we can back this
server up to a TSM on z/OS. How do I backup the backed up data? It's all
in a tape silo attached to this UNIX
We're getting a Server out of Storage message. We now send objects over
20GB directly to a tape storage pool, hoping this will solve the Server out
of Storage problem.
