Hi Robert,
maybe you'll find Novell's TID 10089687 interesting.

EMORYEFFICIENTBACKUP on your server. The backup
operation probably will take more time to complete, but the incr command
looks at the files directory by directory.
Are there any Retry-Errors written into the log? If yes, you may want to
look at the option CHANGINGRETRIES as well.

ee. In a real-time scenario you have to recreate your new and
empty NDS-tree before you can proceed with a full-restore of NDS on your
server, which is holding all your master-replicas.
For further informations regarding restoring NDS you should read the
many TIDs you can find on http://support.novell.com.

In addition I would check the TSM devices in smitty devices.

Hi Geetha,
it seems, you have some new db volumes defined already. You just have to extend the
database using the size of "Maximum Extension". In your case the command "EXTEND DB
4100" should work.

Hi Tom,
sounds like the issue described in APAR IC36510. The problem appears also on the STA's
side and should be fixed in 5.1.8.0.

Hi,
you could try the latest TSA Updates from Novell: TSA5UP12.EXE
It's sometimes tricky to find a stable combination of TSM Client and TSA
Version. I have still Nw6 SP2 with the 5.1.6.0 TSM Client running
without any problems.

nd out the short names.
The command
load dsmc res vol1:\assetinv\ -subdir=yes -rep=all -tapep=no
or
load dsmc res vol1:\assetin1\ -subdir=yes -rep=all -tapep=no
should work.

Hi Robert,
I had similar problems because I tried to write the virtual volumes
directly to sequential media. Is your first storagepool on your target
server a diskpool? If not, you should reconfigure the archive copy group
for source server's node to write on disk first.
Bye,
Wolfgang

Shannon,
EXCLUDE.DIR "NDS:.O=MGE.NLS:Version=600+NLS:Product=NetWare 6
User+NLS:Publisher=Novell.NLS:License ID=SN:403719387"
this syntax should work. There is IMHO no other syntax.
bye,
Wolfgang

Tab,
I'm glad for ALL inputs I can get. However - the reason for the problems
to define the library was defective hardware in our library. HP needed
two days to fix it, but it's runnin now.
Thanks to all...
Bye,
Wolfgang
