Re: Restore MS Exchange to another server

Exchange needs the same hostname of the original server to start when fully restored. If you restore the mail to a server in the same network (to restore a single emailbox) you off course install the server to a server with a different hostname. You then only restore the Information store. The proc

Is it also slow when accessing the web gui local on the server itself? If not, it could be a dns issue. We had in a test environment a dramatic performance when accessing the web gui from another machine towards the tsm server. The problem was solved when a ptr record was added in dns for the tsm s

You can try adding the testflag DISABLENQR in your optfile (for this restore add the line 'TESTFLAG DISABLENQR' in your optfile). This way TSM won't try the 'No query restore' and maybe it will give you more information about why the restore could not be performed, or even do the restore correctly.

To what level downwards are clients compatible to server version 5.2? (I can't seem to find that in the readme's / references (or I am looking in the wrong place in which case I would like to be pointed in the right direction ;-) We are planning for a server upgrade (windows) from level 4.2.2.6,

Correct me if I am wrong, but: standard filter setting is 0x0117 IBM support asked you to change it to 0x0113 So, attribute changes (0x0004) are now not notified... Is this due to a virus checking application? > -Oorspronkelijk bericht- > Van: Magura, Curtis [SMTP:[EMAIL PROT

Hi, This usally happens when you move a directory where an already long named file resides (but not yet at the limit) some directories deeper. The filesystem actually permits you to move the directory, it is only a change of a mountpoint of that directory, but the file itself grows beyond the limi
