We have two TSM Servers, at V5.2.4.0 level, running on a Microsoft
Windows Server 2003
One Server has Archive Manager and uses an EMC Centera for storage. The
other server does not have Archive Manager but has 6TB of Archives from
numerous clients stored on LTO1 tape volumes.
The challenge is
Hi team,
We are in the process of testing an EMC Centera as a storage repository
for TSM. We find the following snippet in:

Centera devices can also be used as standard storage devices if no
mandatory retention
Hi Folks,
We are experimenting with using the EMC Centera as the device for our
archive pool. In testing this we are getting some strange timings. When
going to a "normal" DASD pool as the target of an EXPORT NODE TOSERVER
we get throuput rates in the area of 125 Mb/min. Exporting the same

Hi folks,
I'm in the process of converting from TSM V5.1 on OS/390 to TSM V5.2 on
Windows.
The Admin Ref. For V5.2 lists the TOSserver= option for the EXPort Node
command. This option is not listed in the V5.1 documentation. Just to
be perverse, I tried the TOServer= option on the V5.1 server
Ya, We had the same problem in trying to go from TSM 5.1 on OS/390 to
TSM 5.3 on INTEL. Sorry to say, but we are now running Legato instead
of TSM. IBM bytes us (and them) in the derriere.

Is there anything special about referencing an HSM filespace via NFS?

Hi folks,
I have just been in contact with a VAR that remarkets TSM. The staffer
there is telling me that "you can license and run Space Management on any
server except for
zSeries or S/390."
Now, we are running Space Management (HSM) on TSM 5.1.1.6 server on OS/390
servicing AIX clients of vari
In a recent presentation from IBM about TSM the date of 17 December 2003 was

Hi Folks,
I'm a (re)new list subscriber. I was on the list a few years ago when I
installed ADSM at this site then moved on to other projects. Now I'm back
supporting TSM and I need some help with a problem that we have created for
ourselves.
