Hi all,
I am currently in the process of setting up specifications for our new TSM6.2
server.
I started by adding 8 x SSD 50GB disks to hold OS and DB, but because of the
high costs was wondering if it's possible to rather buy more RAM and increase
the DB2 cache to speed up the database.

Hi,
We have configured our DS4100 with 4 arrays of 4+1(RAID5) with large
blocksizes etc in accordance with BestPractise.
My question is: How do I spread the Stg volumes across the volumes so
TSM will spread the load ?

Hi Jim,
O thx Jim for your input, it really helped me.
Now do you know if I can merge the 3 FileSpaces?

Hi,
We have a Netware 6.5 Cluster and I find that TSM generates multiple

I will have ie.

Hi Jim,
AFAIK you can do it using 2 methods:
1. Move Nodedata fromstg=CurrentSTG (This will consolidate
all of the node's data from across the STG to as few tapes possible)
2. Move Nodedata fromstg=CurrentSTG ToSTG=Diskpool
Maxpr= (This will move all the data to your Diskpool, just

I think it might be one of the following:
1. Some objects has been deleted or changed but because the Replica is not
in-sync in all replicas(could be caused by slow server) it has not confirmed
the changed object on all replicas.

Hi,
This might be a stupid question, but here goes.
Currently our Monthly Exports take about 4 days to complete mostly I
think because of the high amount of files involved. Anyways we are
thinking of ways to speed this process up a bit and was wondering if we
could do this by using Diskpools o
Hi all,
I've created my DB on a drive that will not be big enough for very much
longer, so would like to move it to another drive, preferably without
restoring it.
I've reduced the db and see the following on one DB-Volume:
Volume Name (Copy 1): D:\TSMDATA\DB\D3904869.DBV

Hi all,
We're creating a diskpool for our Exchange-backups of about 1TB and was
wondering if an volume size of 10GB is correct or if we should be
looking at larger volumes.

There ar
umbers that are useful, except your RELATIVE
numbers from one month to the next are useful; at least you can tell
which domain/client is growing the fastest!

We are running an Exchange backup that failed because of corrupted

Hi,
We are in the process of implementing TSM campus-wide and we require
