Can you try setting the -vmname option as a temporary workaround?
Your scenario reminds me of apar IT01943. If I recall correctly,
-vmname (with the same vm name) provided a workaround too.
If they are related, it may be worth an attempt.
using your command as example, add -vmname="0
VM=*VSE*,server1,server2,server3,server4
