If, you encounter any install issues and need to uninstall TSM 6 and that
uninstall isn't successfully you can remove Deployment Engine and it's
references from /etc/inittab and /etc/services. I strongly recommend
contacting support before doing this though. After having performed a

Between 4-8 GB should be enough for a dedicated Lib Man (LM) server in
production. I personally would have used 8 GB memory just in case.
Even if you are upgrading the existing LM server to v6 the memory should
be enough since the LM database is kind of small in most cases.
There's an example
Start with an active log size that is twice the size of the recovery log
for the
existing V5 server. For example, if the V5 recovery log is 20 GB, start
with
an active log size of 40 GB for the upgraded V6.1 server.

also says that if your DB is prior to V5.5.x
and you need to go back, you would have to restore your DB vs if you were
at V5.5 you could just restart your server.
The recommended starting point is "V5.5.2"no suprise!

Some information I've got from TSM support that can be good to know about
DIRMC don't need to be configured to back up directories to a (separate)
disk storage pool
DIRMC specifies the management class (MC) for directories to bind to.
If not specified, by default, the MC class in the ac
