i have an automated libary with one drive and 8 Slots.
In the first 6 slots i have DLT tapes and one tape is mounted in the drive.
The tape in Slot 3 which is not mounted and contains archived data should
be checkout and an scratched and labeld Volume should be checked in.
What steps do i

If i don't tell the incremental backup that an selective backup occured it
would be an incremental forever backup right?
So some Tapes don't get scratched and have about 3% util and i need more
tapes.
I want the old incremental backup tapes from last week to get scratched.

How can i say the selective backup to hold data for 183 or 42 days with one
version, like you can do it with archive ??
And How can you tell the incremental backup to only store data that has
been changed till last selective week fullbackup ??
