I actually opened a PMR on this same problem (PMR#45713,519) and they told
me that (this is almost a direct quote) "...that is the way it works." In
asking, of course, they wouldnt put any of that in writing, but here is some
text cut out from the PMR itself...

Steve - it is actually pretty easy...after your original eMail I have
included the 'source' of two files that do what you looking for when used
together...they are pretty self-explanitory. If you know a better way to do
anything, let me know...I am pretty new to scripting and TSM...

I've gotten some reporting to work with ADSM/TSM but there are some thigns I
would like to do that I have yet to accomplish...and I cant imagine that
they are anything new. I have gotten select statements to work and then
eMail results, etc...I can get ODBC connections to work to the TSM server
