is specific tape(s)
causing the issue. Bad Tapes can cause weird things to happen.
* What kind of drives are they, and what kind of library are they in?
Lots of things can cause a drive to go off-line.

Does anybody in ADSMland know of a client that could backup a BSDi 4.0 box
to our ADSM/TSM servers? Linux emulation isn't an option. So, I'm kind of
hoping somebody out there knows of someone who wrote a 3rd party client
somewhere.
Thanks,

Define the client node on the new server, and then point the
TCPServeraddress line in the dsm.sys file to the new server.
You could even set it up where the client can use both servers. Just have
two stanzas, one for each server in the dsm.sys file.

From: ADSM:
do something like do a "query content volname" for all our files,
list the output to a file and then do normal greps for things. But
something tells me that would be time consuming.
Does anybody know a direct and simple way from within ADSM to do this?
Thank you,
Davi
Bear in mind, a lot of the discount options depend on how much you are going
to spend with IBM/Tivoli. Myself, we got a normal corp. discount
(something not as good as Education discounts, but something along the same
lines)... plus the passport advantage discount, plus another discount on top

We will be setting up a new ADSM server soon. Anybody set it up on AIX 5
yet? Does it work there?
Thanks,
