This should NOT cause any slowdown in backup performance. If it does you should
open a PMR with support. We rely on this instrumentation all the time in
software support and we strongly recommend leaving it enabled

the issue here is with the javescript engine that is in IE. It is REALLY bad

storage pool? They did have one APAR for that 2 months ago. I would first

excellent note about the corrupted index on LTO cartridges. Since then I've
had a couple tapes become corrupted. After the incident, I checked out all
my tapes and checked them in with CHECKLABEL=YES. This identified all the
tapes with existing corrupted index
tape cartridge has been corrupted. File search
performance will be degraded. The tape directory can be
rebuilt by reading all the data on the cartridge.

environment and is it normal?

I am throwing this out the list to get an answer. If you order
"pre-labeled" tapes to use with TSM, does this mean that they do not need
to go through the "label libv" process? This may seem like a silly
question, but we have a customer who want to order pre-labeled (and
barcoded) tapes, bu
