Crude but simple way to do this. Stop the TSM server and create a copy of
your .opt file .opt2 or .opt.batch and run the format job against the
copied file. Just need to keep the copy option file up to date.

I had this happen on TSM 4.2.1.9 a long time ago, my only option was to
bounce the TSM server. I did not have as many clients active only 10 or so.
Sorry but that was my quickest fix at that time. No other way to free these
sessions up that I know of.

I have region size at 512 m but my bufferpool is only 49152
I am seeing 98% plus cache hit, so I do not see where bufpoolsize 225280
is coming from.

upgrading to that release, we applied the 4.2.1.15 fix level at the
recommendation of Tivoli even thought 4.2.2.0 was available. Is anyone
running 4.2.2.0 on OS/390 2.10 and if so have you run into any gotcha's?

I think that we are having a problem with compression. I was wondering if
someone could share examples of compression jobs first one that does not
cause the DBIID to change and then one that does. We are running a TDP INCR
backup every night and we inspect 1154 domino databases and back up about

Be careful on what you set the mountlimit to for each device class. Just a

We are running TSM 4.1.4 on OS/390 2.10. In the past we have used FDR to
move the TSM database volumes while TSM was down. We never had any issues
doing this. Just remember that this is an unsupported technique for moving
