Chris,
I opened a problem ticket with Tivoli back in Oct 2000 for this problem.
Tivoli Opened an APAR against this problem. I do not believe the problem
was been resolved in any of the clients to this date. You may want to
look at the existing APARS.

David,
If I remember correctly the only way to view the shared drives is to
launch the GUI from the ACTIVE CLUSTER (Who own's drives at that
particular time). You will be able to see all cluster drives.
Thx

Zosimo,
We have in a pinch brought all the SQL Services down and did an archive of
the database to a short 5 day archive period class. That is if you can
afford to bring down the DB. We did this for a couple of weeks until a
problem could be resolved with TDP for SQL server.
Arturo
Patrick,
You can have your operator login to the server with the option -mountmode
to view all tape request.

Hi,
There is an APAR open for that version for TSM. The recovery log hangs during
startup. TSM recommends upgrading to 3.7.4 this resolved my problem.

Hello All
I have a problem with sending copies of primary stg pool using server to server. I
have a source server defined on a target server that I am able to send nightly DB
backups to the target server...I have everything defined and have the node registered
as a server on the target server
Rene
What type of volume export are you refering to. Are you exporting a node or vohist
containg your db backups.
Arturo
Rene,
If you do a q volhist it will list all the volumes by date and time. If you issue the
command
delete volhist todate=01/15/2001 totime=16:34:57 type=dbbackup
this command will delete only one volume from vohist it will pick the volume that
matches the todate and totime parameters.

Rene
If you only want to delete one volhist use
delete volhist todate=*** totime=*** type=dbbackup

Doug,
In my old position we had almost thirty-five exchange server. These servers typically
had 20-30 db's. No complaints and no problems. The only minor issue was lack of
brick level restore. Our exchange guys had a spare that we restored the IS and db to.
They never minded extracting t

You may want to check for existing APAR. I had the same problem on my SUN Server.
The problem was occuring when the recovery log was attempting to mount. There is a
know problem with 3.7.3.0..I upgraded the server to 3.7.4 and the recovery log no
longer hung when mounting.

Hello All
We have played around with bulk checkout in our library. We only have ten
recovery slots in our test library, single frame. What we did was have our
local IBM CE perform a teach to convert 20 internal slots to IO recovery
slots. This allows us to skip a day or two to remove any tapes
Kelly,

Gill,
Is it possible that reclamation has kicked off and you specified the archive
tape pool as reclamation storage pool. Just a thought.

I have this same problem, I have opened up a problem with TIVOLI. I can
restore from the command line without problems, but from the GUI I can only
restore from the file level. I cannot restore from the root level or folder
level.
Good luck They are suppose to be working the problem.
