I am a newbie. We have TSM 3.7. running. I want to run a batch command from
my root prompt which give me the number of scratch tapes, I will put it in
cron to mail me every morning as to how much scratch tapes I have in my lib.
How can I do that? I don't want to go to interactive mode
Can I make a backup set on CD through which I can boot a SUN box and
restore it fully, or do the restoration procedure involves installing the
SUN box with tivoli and then restore?
Ain't there is an automated procedure to do that??

Forgive my naiveness but why one need to take the backup of dirs on disk
pools, I read that it makes restores efficiently, but when you dirs pool is
copied to tape to offisite, and then when you try to restore it from tape,

I am a newbie so forgive my naiveness. I want to setup TSM 3.7 on a box with
8mm drive, so I create a library, drive,devclass,stgpool and label my
volume. I also created the domain,policyset,mgmtclass and copypool for
backing up files and register the node in it.
