The thing to worry about is the permission to the CIFS paths. Domain trust relationships aside, the account that the TSM scheduler/CAD is running under will still need to be able to access all the CIFS paths that you are backing up. If you only change the domain of the server, but everything

We have a Windows server whose sole purpose is to backup CIFS mount points. This server is currently in domain x and needs to be moved to domain y. Will changing the domain of this box have any effect on the CIFS mount points it backs up? They are using some kind of migration tool. Zoltan Forray

Hey, it's me again. using the "set access backup -TYPE=VM" option, see below. then using the in-guest VM Recovery Agent, i see all the VM nodes on the TSM Server but selecting any other VM gets a "not authorized to restore this virtual machine" error. it can access it's own backups with no prob
