There are two parts to the IBM strategy when it comes to operational
monitoring and reporting. First as Maurice pointed out there is the
Operations Center which is in beta. It's role will be to provide an
operational interface to TSM. Second is the TSM Reporting, this will be
reporting and long ter
Understood. I do something similar right now. Daily, my TSM servers
backup their volhist and devconfig files which are then SFTP'ed to an
offsite server (these are Linux systems).

Hi, Marice. Did your setup log give you any hints as to why it didn't
create the directory?

Be sure to create a Windows task or crontab script that copies your EKM
keystore periodically and remotely. And preferably not to TSM. :-)

LAN-free was invented when fibre connections were substantially faster than
connections over 10/100 Lan.
Now I have customers where the network/LAN connection is faster at 10GE than
their fibre at 4GBit or 8GBit.

I would like this also. It seems like the latest versions of all TSM code has
made the install much harder to automate. I don't understand why Tivoli
doesn't supply us with an automated install script rather than leaving every
customer to recreate this wheel.

TCR ( an optional component of the Admin center) has made great improvements

I use STORServerConsole for all my reporting needs as well as complete TSM

Friends,
To have standard installation and configuration of the TSM clients and to
keep the installation and configuration easy as possible for Wintel
engineers, I love to use scripts.
But with the new fcm-based TDP's for MSSQL and Exchange, I encounter some
difficulties. So to avoid inventing th
Hi All

instead of the normal LAN backup. If it is how much faster?
Best regards
