Hi,
Im very confused about TSM and VMware restoration via lanfree. As I
researched, I found that there is two main functionally of TSM and VMware
backup/restore. The first one is using TSM B/A client that integrated vmware
backup tools. And the second is TSM for VE.

I am backing up to physical tape. Is there any way to get mmbackup to back up
more than 100 files at a time?

Hi, Rick. As an aside, if you rename those nodes, have you thought
about how you'll find those archives later? Most people start with, "I
need data. It lived on xyz server."
On to your question. Do you need them to have the same node name? What
about naming them ArchiveNode1 and ArchiveNode2,
file dsmupgdx.trc is only written if you use upgrade wizard.
We used manual method, typing in commands.
No such file is written with this method.

Check file dsmupgdx.trc located in the c:\program files\tivoli\tsm for
Windows or /opt/tivoli/tsm/server for Aix, Solaris, HP-UX and Linux.

Hello,

We are using two Linux boxes, one hosts restore image of Server 5, the other
has Server 6240.
Doing Method 4: New system, network method.
Load Format on new Server Version 6240.
Then inserted and extracted over network.
Successful.
But: New Server do

We have a Capacity Based license now, and so far so good.
For those who are wavering between that and PVU based, it may help, depending
on your client mix, to know that the 6.3 client reports Processor Vendor,
Processor Brand, Processor Type, Processor Model and Processor Count. So,

Thanks. There is something to win there, maybe. We could abandon the
current OS nodename and create a seperate for archives. I could then rename
the node in TSM to 'Archivenode' and the filespaces belonging to that node
as well. How about this: I have 'Node1' with archives and 'Node2' wit
Hi
You can use rename node & rename files space commands to do the job

Hi,
In cleaning up old domains and nodes, we have 'found' some nodes that have
archives bound to it. We do wish to part with the old nodes, but not with
the archives. Is there any low impact method to rebind the archive data to
a new node? I've been reading up on export node / import node, but it
